So good to hear your voice

On Sunday night our Pastor flew out to visit one of our missionaries in a far away country. Tonight after our service he called the church to give all of us and update on the work there. During the phone call Pastor and Bro. Fryman gave us all an opportunity to ask questions. Caleb was sitting with me and he raised his hand but I quickly put his hand down. Later my mom questioned Caleb about what he was going to ask. Caleb said he wanted to know if Pastor was having fun. :)
For me; it was wonderful to hear my Pastor's voice. To hear that our missionary is faithfully preaching God's word was such a blessing, and to be assured that our Pastor is well and safe was such a great comfort. A few of my friends expressed similar thoughts, but what really touched my heart was this.
While I was logging on to the computer and into my email and facebook tonight I was listening to Caleb chat with my mom. A lot of what he was saying was just chatter because he likes to talk. Then it got quiet for a minute and randomly without any questions or comments to prompt him Caleb said, "It was good to hear Pastor tonight."
